OYO FA CONGRATULATES 3SC, OYO SPORTS COUNCIL OVER SUPER FOUR, NSF ACHIEVEMENTS

The Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) under the chairmanship of HRM Oba James Ọdẹníran has congratulated both the management of Shooting Stars and Oyo State Sports Council over their latest achievements at the maiden edition of NPFL Doxy Mmobuosi Super Cup tournament and 21st edition of National Sports Festival tagged 'Delta 2022'.
In a statement made available to OyoSportsNews by by the Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA) Secretary Mr Kehinde Ojelowo. Oba James Ọdẹníran commended the dogged spirit of the Sports Agencies in the state.
"I want to congratulate Shooting Stars' management led by Hon Babatunde Olaniyan, the Administration Secretary Alhaji Olapade Rahman, General Manager Dimeji Lawal as well as the technical crew under Coach Gbenga Ogunbote for this great achievement. Everyone is happy with the results at the NPFL Doxy Mmobuosi Super Cup tournament, Enyimba are no small club in Nigeria football and for any team to have achieved this feat, it shows we are gradually getting there and ready for the new league season.
"It is evident to say that Shooting Stars have improved under Coach Gbenga Ogunbote judging by recent Grade A pre-season friendlies and NPFL Doxy Mmobuosi Super Cup. I also want to charge them to keep up with the momentum and translate this to Nigeria Professional Football League starting very soon."
The Alakinyele of Akinyele who also doubles as the Zonal Coordinator SouthWest Football Referees equally lauded the Oyo State Sports Council following thier remarkable record and position on the Medals'Table of the 21st edition of National Sports Festival'Delta 2022' which came to an end last Saturday. Oba James Ọdẹníran, who was overwhelmed by Team Oyo's fourth position also commended Hon Gbenga Adewusi 'Arole' and the entire management and staff of Oyo State Sports Council for setting another laudable record.
"50 Gold medals in what we regarded as Nigeria 'Olympic Games' is no joke and a top four finish on the medals' table amongst 36 states is a great achievement. For the first time in the history of Oyo state, the Oyo State Sports Council under Hon Gbenga Adewusi 'Arole' and the general manager, Mr Gboyega Makinde has done the unthinkable. I commended everyone who is directly and indirectly involved in this achievement, Oyo state is back again and we are proud to say we are the pace setter while others follow."
Oba James Ọdẹníran also expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for his love, commitment, support and efforts in developing sports in the state, which in no small means, aided the performance of the state contingent and Shooting Stars.
He concluded by promising his total supports and the State Football rulling body for Shooting Stars in their quest to win this season NPFL.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
