BASKETBALL ICONS RECEIVE AWARD OF RECOGNITION AT THE PROPELLA TOURNAMENT

High Chief Orisabiyi Omotoyebi Peter, Pharmacist Lawrence Olaniran Morohunfolu alongside Chief Adebayo Lawal, Otunba Babatunde Babalola, Akinlolu Ajayi One and Pierra Isa have been honoured with an award of recognition by Propella Foundations for their excellent and outstanding performances and significant contributions to the progress and development of basketball games in Nigeria.
Propella Foundation Coordinator, Mr Tunde Popoola in his speech thanked all participating teams, dignitaries, sports administrators and basketball coaches for making the fourth edition a success. He emphasized that the purpose of the annual basketball tournament is to encourage the participation of the youth with a view to nurture their tallest to the fullest and ensuring their active participation in the national and international competitions stressing that the annual tournament has come to stay.
Also speaking at the grand finale, General Manager, Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde who represented the Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Adewusi 'Arole' at the closing ceremony of the tournament congratulated the awardees. He added that all awardees have proven thier worths in their respective capacities and have utilized effectively to move the game forward.
In recognition of his brilliant performance, Oluwatobi Bello was named as the most valuable player for the the fourth edition with instant cash reward.
At the end of the 2 day tournament, Hoop Dreams Ambassador Team emerged winner of Propella Basketball Competition out of 22 participating teams. The hundred Hoop team clinched the second position while Ollysan Sports Team came third.

Okikiola helped his side clinch her first ever federation cup title, scoring three goals in the three all draw, Ilaji FC emegerd champions 5-4 on penalties and will represent Oyo state at the National Federation Cup.
