2021 Oyokun Diplomatic Football Championship Final: All You Need To Know

The 2021 Oyokun Diplomatic Football Championship Final will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2021 

Who Will Contest The Final? 

United Professionals FC will face Wesley All Stars Ambassadors in the 4th Oyo State Adult Championship Cup final. Both teams are in the final for the first time, Wesley Ambassadors lost at the quarter final stage at the last edition via penalty shoot-out while United Professionals are debutant.

When Does It Take Place? 

The game will be played on Sunday, September 12, 2021, kicking off at 1pm. The third place match between Urban Day All Stars and ICAS will kick start by 1pm before the final stage.

Where Is It Being Played? 

The final will be held at the Awo football pitch, University of Ibadan. The final was originally intended to take place at Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan but due to the ongoing remodelling reconstruction work, the venue has to be changed.

Are Supporters Allowed? 

As laid down by the presidential task force on COVID-19, all protocols attached to the deadly virus must be observed.

What Does The Winner Get? 

The current Oyokun Diplomatic Championship trophy stands 53.5cm tall and weighs 5.5kg. It may not be an artistic masterpiece but any adult who the love for the round leather game especially in Oyo state is keen to get their hands on it.

What Else? 

Cash prices for winner and runners up, individual awards and medals would be given to players.

Overall best eleven of the championship will slug it out with the champion of this year edition while Inter states championship will also hold. Winners in Ogun, Ondo and Oyo states will trade tackles in a Cup Winners Cup.
